New Sheriff in Town…

The CWHC has a change in leadership. As of July 1, 2020 Patrick Zimmer, CWHC National Office Director and Chief Operating Officer was appointed acting Executive Director. This followed Craig Stephen’s departure as former Executive Director earlier this year.

Patrick has been with the CWHC for the better part of two decades, developing and overseeing national programs and implementing the CWHC’s transition towards a health intelligence and knowledge mobilization network. Together with Craig Stephen he co-wrote the National Framework for Action for Wildlife Health in Canada, the original impetus for what would eventually become the Pan-Canadian Approach to Wildlife Health.

Patrick is committed to leading the CWHC and helping us navigate and prepare for new challenges and opportunities. Congratulations Patrick!
